AZELAIC ACID BRIGHTENING SERUM

Apply in the evening, after cleansing, and massage into skin. Follow with moisturizer and/or face oil.
Can be used with other serums and active ingredients such as retinol and/or vitamin C.

Our garden-grown botanical complex (chamomile, calendula, rose, immortelle, hydrangea leaf): these powerful plants are harvested at their peak and their beneficial compounds are infused into our rich body cream.

Azelaic acid: a powerful compound found in grains and produced by our skin's own microbiome. It works by inhibiting excess melanin production-helping to fade dark spots and even out skin tone. Because it has calming and antibacterial properties, azelaic acid helps reduce redness and inflammation, making it beneficial for acne and rosacea-prone skin.

Kojic acid: a naturally derived brightening ingredient produced by the fermentation of mushrooms and certain grains. Kojic acid gently inhibits melanin production, helping fade dark spots and pigmentation. With consistent use, kojic acid promotes a more luminous complexion and overall skin clarity and radiance.

Ceramide Complex: ceramides are lipids that make up a large portion of our skin barrier. They help the skin retain moisture and protect it from environmental damage. With age and through sun damage, the quality and quantity of ceramides decreases, resulting in a damaged skin barrier. This further leads to dryness, wrinkles and skin irritation. Our ceramide complex helps restore ceramides in the skin, thereby restoring skin barrier function and helping skin stay hydrated, smooth and supple.

Hyaluronic acid: because it can hold up to 1000x its weight in water, hyaluronic acid is very hydrating and has a plumping effect on the skin. Our moisturizer is formulated with high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, which allows for surface moisture retention as well as hydration deep within the layers of the skin, as the low molecular weight particles are able to better penetrate the epidermis.

Sea Buckthorn oil: known for its bright orange colour and the presence and high levels of Carotenoids and Omega-7 fatty acids (higher than any other plant). This oil also contains high levels of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and a high Vitamin E content. This unique combination of key fatty acids has been shown to improve skin metabolism and slow down skin maturation.

Tamanu oil: a revitalizing and healing oil. Tamanu oil is composed of phospholipids and glycolipids, which are known to help protect the skin’s moisture barrier and are natural constituents of healthy looking skin. It also has powerful soothing and antioxidant properties.
